Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
DBT was originally developed to treat Borderline Personality Disorder, but it’s applicable PTSD, addictions, unhealthy relationships and to anyone who identifies as emotionally very sensitive.
This therapy is based on learning and applying 4 major skills: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

This is a three part treatment proven to help change long term patterns of behaviour. Part 1 is individual weekly or biweekly sessions. Part 2 is teaching the following skills in a group setting:
– Mindfulness to learn how to be present
– Distress Tolerance Skills to handle extreme emotions
– Emotional regulation to improve our day to day
– Interpersonal Effectiveness to have healthy relationships
Part 3 is In-the-Moment Coaching. You can call or text a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills coach in order to help you use your skills in everyday situations when you need it the most.
Best suited for clients who experience very extreme emotions and feel in crisis very often; such as having frequent suicidal thoughts, have attempted suicide in the past or who self harm.
