Trust and Mistrust
My approach is inherently strength-based, focusing on individual, environmental, and social protective factors accessible to clients. Growing up in a low-income family, in a high-crime environment, and witnessing societal support systems fail, taught me the importance of reducing risk factors and enhancing protective factors to improve quality of life.
Fostering a sense of motivation and innovation is central to my therapeutic process. Clients can expect collaborative goal setting, autonomy, and comfort during sessions. My passion lies in fostering hope, enhancing decision-making skills, and encouraging stability in daily life.
In my personal life, I fulfill the roles of son, sibling, student, friend, partner, and Physiotherapist, alongside being a Registered Social Worker. My commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals and my local community drives my professional practice as a mental health professional.
