About Cindy Kwok

Do you struggle with self-esteem or managing your emotions? Are you having difficulty coping or having difficulty in your family or personal relationships? Do you need help recovering from substance abuse? Have you experienced trauma in the past? In therapy, we will draw from practical tools that you can start applying in everyday life to build and sustain recovery. We will work towards tangible results — improved self confidence, better romantic and peer relationships, and sustained sobriety. Therapy is a safe space to start permanent healing. I am looking forward to hearing your story and to providing effective support.

I’m Cindy Kwok, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the background as Registered Mental Health Nurse for over 30 years. I have always believed in applying the appropriate therapy approach to clients who experienced mental health issues or mental illness is so crucial in their recovery journey.

You can expect compassionate, results-oriented, and non-judgemental care. Together, we will work strategically to address the issues that can are holding you back. We may draw from mindfulness and other techniques to help you become more centered and focused as you work towards your goals. For many clients, EMDR has been shown to enable substantial progress.

Everyone’s life story and experience is unique, I became a therapist in addition to being a nurse because I have a passion in working together with people. Together, we will explore the missing and unresolved parts of your life in order to understand your issues so healing can begin with appropriate therapeutic, non-judgmental support.
