Abuzar offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to supporting individuals struggling with substance use. His work is grounded in harm reduction principles and motivational interviewing, helping clients understand the roots of their addiction while building sustainable strategies for change. He empowers clients to define their own recovery goals, whether that means abstinence or reducing harm, always prioritizing safety, autonomy, and resilience.
Trauma often lives in both the mind and body. Abuzar brings a trauma-informed lens to all his therapeutic work, creating a space where clients feel emotionally safe to explore past pain without fear of retraumatization. He helps clients process difficult life events, develop emotional regulation skills, and build trust in themselves and others again.
Many individuals with substance use disorders also experience co-occurring mental health conditions. Abuzar specializes in supporting clients who are navigating the complexities of dual diagnosis—such as addiction alongside anxiety, depression, or PTSD. His integrative approach creates space for clients to address both conditions with dignity and structure, promoting long-term stability and healing.
Abuzar works extensively with clients facing complex mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders that often accompany addiction or trauma. He focuses on building emotional awareness and resilience, equipping clients with tools to manage symptoms, regain a sense of control, and lead more meaningful lives.
