At The Insight Clinic, we provide personalized one-on-one tutoring for children and teens across Durham Region, including Whitby, Oshawa, Ajax, Pickering, Courtice, and surrounding communities.

Our tutoring focuses on the academic areas families ask for most: math, reading, and English. Sessions are designed around each student’s current skill level, school expectations, learning needs, and academic goals.

Students can attend in person at our Whitby clinic or virtually across Ontario.

Meet Rebekah Adams – Ontario Certified Teacher and Tutor in Whitby

Rebekah Adams is an Ontario Certified Teacher and experienced tutor at The Insight Clinic in Whitby. She provides personalized academic support for children and teens with different learning styles, abilities and educational needs.

Rebekah holds a Master’s degree in Teaching and has experience as a classroom teacher, ESL and language-support educator, and online tutor. She supports students in developing reading, writing, communication, comprehension, study and broader academic skills. Her lessons are adapted to each student’s current abilities, school requirements and learning goals.

Using a patient, structured and encouraging approach, Rebekah helps students strengthen foundational skills, build confidence and become more independent learners. She monitors each student’s progress and adjusts instruction to provide an appropriate balance of support and challenge. Rebekah offers in-person tutoring at The Insight Clinic in Whitby and online tutoring for students across Durham Region and Ontario.

For families looking for consistent academic support, tutoring packages may also be available.

OAP funding

While the OAP does not fund tutoring on its own, academic skill-building may be covered as part of an eligible core clinical service, such as ABA or psychotherapy, when a clinical assessment shows it belongs in your child’s treatment plan and it is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst or Registered Psychotherapist.

Do you only offer tutoring in Whitby?

No. While our office is in Whitby, we offer online tutoring across Durham Region, including Ajax, Uxbridge, Pickering, Oshawa, Markham, Port Perry and Clarington.

What ages or grades do you work with?

We support students from elementary to high school, adapting sessions to their grade level and needs.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are one hour, with the option to schedule multiple hours weekly if needed.

How much does tutoring cost?

Our rate is $75 per hour for standalone tutoring sessions, whether in-office or online. We also offer membership packages that include 4, 8, or 12 sessions per month for each module, at a package rate of $70 per hour.

Can tutoring help with test anxiety or focus issues?

Yes. Our approach not only builds academic skills but also helps students gain confidence, reduce stress, and develop effective study strategies.
