Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy or psychotherapy that is structured, time-limited, problem-focused, and goal-oriented.

CBT teaches people how to identify, challenge, and modify their ideas, attitudes, and beliefs in relation to the emotional and behavioural responses that cause them problems.

CBT is evidence-based therapy based around educating the client about what is happening inside their minds, brains and bodies that make them react in a problematic way.
CBT is founded on the concept that how we think (cognition), feel (emotion), and behave (behaviour) all interact with one another. Our thoughts, in particular, influence our feelings and actions. As a result, negative and unrealistic beliefs might bother us and cause problems.
The clients and their therapist will decide jointly on the total number of sessions and the frequency of sessions per month.
