About Kaveena Kokulades Senior ABA Therapist

Kaveena supports clients in building meaningful and lasting change by helping them develop practical skills, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

She frequently works with children, youth, young adults, and families who are navigating anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, social challenges, neurodivergence, behavioural concerns, and life transitions. Kaveena also helps clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop strategies that improve their day-to-day functioning and overall quality of life.

Kaveena is especially energized by working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are discovering their strengths and learning how to overcome challenges. She has a strong interest in supporting individuals who may have felt misunderstood or unsupported, helping them recognize their potential and build the skills they need to thrive.

Her approach combines evidence-based strategies with compassion, flexibility, and individualized care. She uses practical skill-building, mindfulness techniques, emotional regulation strategies, behavioural interventions, and collaborative problem-solving to help clients work toward goals that are meaningful to them. Above all, Kaveena focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Clients, families, and colleagues often describe Kaveena as compassionate, approachable, flexible, and deeply committed to helping others succeed. She is known for building strong, trusting relationships and creating a space where people feel comfortable and supported. Families often value the care, consistency, and dedication she brings to every interaction.

Kaveena’s background in neuroscience, psychology, and behavioural science allows her to take a holistic approach that considers both emotional and behavioural well-being. Rather than focusing only on challenges, she works collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and create practical strategies for meaningful change.

Kaveena is fluent in English and Tamil and brings a strong understanding of South Asian cultural values, family dynamics, and lived experiences. She has worked with children, youth, adults, and families across home, school, community, and clinical settings, supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

For Kaveena, client success looks different for every person. It may mean managing anxiety more effectively, building confidence, strengthening relationships, improving emotional regulation, or reaching an important personal goal. To her, success means clients feel empowered, capable, and equipped with the tools they need to navigate life more independently and confidently.

Outside of work, Kaveena enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, exploring different cultures, event planning, photography, and creative projects. She also has a passion for community initiatives and finding ways to support and empower others both personally and professionally.

Over the next year, Kaveena hopes to continue expanding her knowledge in psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and evidence-based mental health interventions. Her goal is to further integrate behavioural science and mental health approaches to provide comprehensive, individualized support that helps clients create meaningful and lasting change.
