About Kristy Lakin ABA Clinical Director

Kristy Lakin is the Clinical Director for Kids and the ABA Division at The Insight Clinic, where she helps children and families access the right ABA services and feel supported from intake through ongoing care. She works closely with families to guide them through service options, scheduling, funding questions, and care planning, helping make the process clear, manageable, and family-centered.

Kristy supports children and youth with needs related to communication, emotional regulation, social skills, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, ADHD-related concerns, anxiety, and behaviours that interfere with learning or daily life. She is especially passionate about helping families during the early stages of care, when reassurance, guidance, and a clear path forward matter most.

Her approach is warm, responsive, and practical. While she does not provide psychotherapy, she works closely with the clinical team to connect families to the most appropriate ABA therapy, parent coaching, behavioural assessment, and child-focused behavioural supports based on each child’s needs and goals. She is known for helping families feel comfortable, heard, and confident in the services they are receiving.

What sets Kristy apart is her ability to combine strong knowledge of ABA services, service coordination, and family support with clear communication and a compassionate approach. She focuses on creating a smooth and positive experience for families while ensuring children are connected to meaningful, evidence-based support that improves everyday functioning and quality of life.

Kristy brings experience in the ABA field, including intake support, service coordination, and ongoing collaboration with clinical teams, helping families navigate care with greater clarity and confidence. For her, client success means families feel supported and informed, while seeing meaningful progress toward their child’s goals. She is committed to continuing to grow her leadership, client care, and family support skills while strengthening the quality of ABA services for children and youth at The Insight Clinic.
