Magdalin is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has over six years of experience supporting children and youth, including three years providing psychotherapy. Her background as an educator allows her to bring a strong understanding of child and adolescent development into her therapeutic work. She holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto, a Master of Teaching from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.
She is also trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Basic Emergency First Aid. Her primary area of specialization is Art Therapy, where creative expression is used as a therapeutic tool to help clients explore emotions, develop insight, and build effective coping strategies. She works with children, youth, and young adults experiencing challenges such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, low self-esteem, body image concerns, disordered eating, bullying and peer relationship difficulties, emotion regulation challenges, and imposter syndrome. She also provides queer- and trans-affirming care, supporting clients in identity exploration within a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment.
Her therapeutic style is non-judgmental, curiosity-driven, and collaborative. She strives to create a grounded, calm, and supportive space where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts and emotions. When appropriate, she incorporates playfulness and creativity—especially when working with children and youth—to make therapy engaging and accessible. Through a compassionate and individualized approach, she helps clients develop emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence as they navigate life’s challenges.
