Viviane is a compassionate Behaviour Analyst at The Insight Clinic who provides individualized, evidence-based ABA therapy for children and families. She supports clients in building meaningful life skills, improving confidence, and strengthening everyday functioning through practical, family-centered care. Her work often focuses on communication skills, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, social skills, adaptive living skills, ADHD-related executive functioning challenges, and behaviours that interfere with learning or daily life.
She is especially passionate about working with young children and school-age children, helping them develop early communication, emotional development, social relationships, independence, and school-readiness skills. She also works closely with parents and caregivers, offering support around anxiety, school challenges, parent-child interactions, and daily routines so families feel more confident and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
Her approach is neurodiversity-affirming, child-centered, and practical. She uses Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) in ways that feel natural and supportive, including play-based learning, visual supports, positive reinforcement, step-by-step skill building, communication support, flexible thinking, and emotional regulation strategies. She believes therapy should improve real-life functioning and quality of life, not just focus on isolated goals, and she works to make therapy feel approachable, sustainable, and meaningful for the whole family.
Clients and colleagues describe her as empathetic, calm, collaborative, creative, and thoughtful, with a strong ability to build trusting relationships with both children and caregivers. She is known for maintaining high clinical standards while also creating a warm and supportive environment where families feel heard and understood.
She brings experience supporting families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds across home, school, clinic, and community settings. As someone whose first language is Portuguese and second language is English, she understands the challenges that can come with communication differences, cultural transitions, and navigating services in a second language. She also has experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and mentoring front-line therapists.
For her, client success means seeing the skills learned in therapy carry over into everyday life. She values helping children become more independent, confident, and able to communicate their needs, while helping families gain practical tools that fit naturally into their routines. Over the next year, she hopes to continue growing her expertise in ADHD support, executive functioning, and practical skill-building, while further developing her leadership and supervisory skills and creating accessible, evidence-informed resources for families and clinicians.
