Gently Retrain the Brain — With Guidance from Clinicians You Trust

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, unfocused, or mentally exhausted — your brain may be stuck in patterns that are hard to change on your own.

Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive brain-training method that helps teach the brain to self-regulate again. Over time, many clients report better focus, calmer moods, improved sleep, and greater resilience.

What Neurofeedback Can Help Support

Clients often come to us for neurofeedback when they experience:
Neurofeedback is not a cure, and results vary.

It works best as part of a care plan that may include psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, or medical care when appropriate.

If neurofeedback is not the right fit, we will tell you honestly and recommend alternatives.

How Neurofeedback Works

Your brain constantly produces electrical activity. Sometimes, stress, injuries, or long-term habits create patterns that keep you stuck.

Neurofeedback helps the brain learn more balanced patterns through real-time feedback.

Your program typically includes:

Clinical assessment & goal setting

We review your history, symptoms, medications, and expectations.

1

Personalized brain-training plan

Your clinician selects the safest starting protocol.

2

Regular in-office sessions

Most clients attend 2–3 sessions per week for 8–12 weeks.

3

Progress check-ins

We adjust gently, based on clinical review and your feedback.

4

Neurofeedback does not add electricity or shock. It does not force changes — it supports learning.

Two Approaches We Offer

Traditional Neurofeedback

Our experienced clinicians assess for:
Traditional neurofeedback uses sensors to read brain activity. When brain patterns shift toward healthier ranges, the training system gives positive feedback — often through screen visuals or sounds.
Potential benefits:

Traditional neurofeedback is structured, gradual, and data-driven, and is often a good choice for children, teens, and adults who benefit from steady, predictable brain training.

LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System)

(Ultra-gentle stimulation for highly sensitive nervous systems)
LENS uses extremely low-level signals that briefly interrupt rigid brain patterns, allowing the nervous system to “reset.”
Sessions are shorter and often feel very subtle.
Often chosen for:
Some clients notice shifts more quickly; others progress gradually.

Your clinician will help determine which approach is safest and most appropriate — sometimes combining approaches over time.

Your Personalized Program

We keep the program simple, supportive and structured.

What’s Included

If at any point neurofeedback does not appear helpful, we discuss changes immediately – your safety and wellbeing guide every decision.

Is Neurofeedback Safe?

Yes — when administered by trained clinicians, neurofeedback is considered low-risk.

Temporary sensations can include:
We adjust session length, frequency and protocol based on how you feel. You are never “pushed” through discomfort.
Neurofeedback is not recommended without careful clinical review for people with:
We always screen first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon will I notice changes?
Some people notice subtle shifts within weeks; others need 8–12 weeks. The brain learns gradually — consistency matters.
No. We do not change medication. Any medication adjustments must be discussed with your prescriber.

Usually not. Neurofeedback works beautifully alongside psychotherapy, helping the brain settle so therapy becomes easier.

Coverage varies by plan and provider category. Our team will help you understand your options.
We review progress regularly. If neurofeedback isn’t helpful, we discuss alternatives — transparently and respectfully.

Opening

“Thanks for calling The Insight Clinic. I understand you’re interested in neurofeedback. Before I recommend anything, can I ask what you’re hoping to improve?”
(Listen — reflect — acknowledge.)

Bridge

“Based on what you’re sharing, neurofeedback may help with regulation — meaning calmer reactions, better focus, and improved resilience. We use an assessment-based program, guided by clinicians.”

Explain the structure

“We offer one structured program. After your assessment, the clinician builds a plan and you come either two or three times per week. Sessions are about 30–40 minutes and cost $100 per session. We review progress every 4 weeks and adjust.”

Set expectations

“Everyone progresses at a different pace. Most people benefit from 8–12 weeks, and sometimes we add psychotherapy or boosters if needed.”

Close

“The next step is a brief consult or full assessment — whichever you prefer. Would you like to schedule that now?”

(Offer two appointment times. Avoid asking yes/no.)

If price objection

“I understand — it’s an investment. That’s why we offer subscription discounts, flexible payment schedules, and clear milestones so you can see progress. We can start with a shorter plan and reassess.”

If unsure

“Let’s book a free 15-minute consult first. We’ll review your history and help you decide if this is the right fit.”

FAQ

Is neurofeedback safe?
Yes. It’s non-invasive and gently trains brain regulation. Mild fatigue or temporary headaches can happen but usually pass.

With traditional neurofeedback people typically notice changes after about 600 minutes of training. With LENS neurofeedback people notice changes immediately right after session or after the second session

Neurofeedback is considered a somatic form of psychotherapy and is recognized by the CRPO. Receipts are issued as psychotherapy sessions. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your psychotherapy coverage.

Neurofeedback can be used as a stand-alone treatment; however, it often works best when paired with psychotherapy. It helps the brain settle and regulate, which can make therapy more effective and easier to engage in.

We reschedule when possible. Consistency matters — especially in the first 8–12 weeks.
Yes — if appropriate after assessment and caregiver consent.

Neurofeedback Therapy

A non-pharmaceutical treatment that rewards the brain for changing into healthier brainwave patterns.

We offer 2 types of neurofeedback

Neurofeedback, also known as EEG Biofeedback, is a type of biofeedback that uses electroencephalography (EEG) to monitor brain activity. It is a non-invasive procedure that involves placing electrodes on the scalp to measure the electrical activity of the brain. The information gathered is then used to provide feedback to the person, usually in the form of visual or auditory cues, about their brain activity in real-time.

The goal of neurofeedback is to help individuals develop greater self-awareness and control over their brain activity and related behaviors, such as attention, mood, and sleep patterns. This, in turn, can lead to improved mental health and well-being, as well as improved performance in areas such as memory and learning.

Neurofeedback has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and sleep disorders, among others.
