Daniela Estrella is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at The Insight Clinic who brings a flexible, compassionate, and client-centred approach to therapy. She is committed to continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and finding individualized ways to support each client’s growth. Daniela works collaboratively with clients, families, and colleagues to help people better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Daniela supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, relationship concerns, family dynamics, and parenting challenges. She enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, including children, teens, young adults, and adults. While she continues to value her work with children and families, she is also especially interested in expanding her work with adults, particularly individuals navigating trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Daniela draws from a range of therapeutic approaches depending on each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, LENS Neurofeedback, Traditional Neurofeedback, the Safe and Sound Protocol, family therapy, and couples therapy. Her goal is to create a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, and build confidence in their ability to manage life’s challenges.
Clients and colleagues often describe Daniela as empathetic, creative, approachable, and deeply client-centred. She is known for being a strong communicator, an attentive listener, and someone who brings warmth, compassion, and genuine care into her therapeutic relationships. Daniela believes that meaningful progress often begins with feeling understood, and she works to build a strong, trusting connection with each client.
Daniela also brings cultural and linguistic diversity to her work as a Latino therapist who speaks both English and Spanish fluently. She values culturally sensitive care and strives to create an inclusive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel respected, supported, and seen.
For Daniela, client success means helping people reach a place where they feel more confident managing life independently. This may include learning how to problem-solve, set boundaries, regulate emotions, use healthy coping strategies, navigate daily stressors, and rely less heavily on therapy over time. Over the next year, Daniela is continuing to grow professionally by further specializing in Traditional Neurofeedback.
Outside of work, Daniela enjoys spending time in nature, reading, watching movies and shows, being with her family and pets, exploring new places, and embracing new adventures.
